It’s a celebration of all things Italian at the Fyshwick Markets this Sunday 27 July.
The markets will become an Italian market scene in celebration of a visit by Internationally acclaimed Italian chef Antonio Carluccio.
Antonio is in the region to celebrate the Canberra and Capital Region Truffle Festival and will be mingling with market goers for an hour between 10.45am and 11.45am before he hosts a truffle cooking school and lunch for guest at 3Seeds Cooking School, also at the markets.
The day will be a celebration of Italian fair and of course our wonderful regional truffles.
This year we are lucky to once again be the exclusive consumer outlet for Sherry McArdle English’s renowned French Black Truffles.
Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun with two ‘Italian areas’, an Italian choir, live music, recipe ideas, wine and food tastings and of course the opportunity to catch-up with Antonio and Sherry.
Plonk, Australia’s best bottle shop, has a line-up of local winemakers doing tastings on Saturday 1-4pm and Sunday 11-3pm at various locations around the markets. They'll also have Bridge Road Brewery matching beers with truffles.
